Giannis is one of many players who will be wearing “Equality”. Other big-names wearing the same will be Chris Paul, Rudy Gobert, etc.
Giannis’s brother Thanasis who also plays for the Bucks will also be wearing “Equality” on the back of his jersey.
Some players have opted not to put any statement on the back of their jerseys. LeBron James is one of them, the Lakers star will wear “James” on the back of his jersey. Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid being the others.
What’s next for Giannis and the Bucks?
Giannis has led the Bucks to top of the eastern conference with a record of 53-12. A winning percentage of .815%. Bucks are one of the favorites along with the Lakers and the Clippers to win the title.
With the ‘Greek Freak’ leading the charge for the Bucks, experts believe this could be his first title winning season. However, for that to happen, the Bucks’ support crew will need to help Giannis out in crunch situations.
Giannis is having his best season of the career so far. Averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists. He is the favorite to win the MVP award again this year and as well as the defensive player of the year.
Bucks restart their season against the Boston Celtics on 31st of July inside the Bubble in Orlando.
