Jimmy Butler

While most NBA stars prefer hip hop music, Jimmy Butler is a huge fan of country music and especially Taylor Swift, something that came up in Sean Evans’ ‘Hot Ones.’

The Miami Heat star appeared on Sean Evans’ famous YouTube series to eat chicken wings and talk about his life and career as a basketball player. One of the topics that came up was Butler’s love for country music.

Butler’s love for country music started out during his time in Marquette College. While his teammates would be blasting more of the popular hip hop or pop songs, Butler would always find himself complaining. That led to him controlling the music one day which led to him playing ‘Don’t take the Girl’ by Tim Mcgraw/

Butler finds country music relatable and believes that is the perfect interesection between hip hop and pop, giving him the best of both worlds.

Jimmy Butler Recaps When Nazir Muhammad Recorded Him Singing Taylor Swift On Sean Evans’ Hot Ones

‘Hot Ones’ is a fantastic series if you haven’t seen it already. The premise of the show is that the host, Sean Evans, and one celebrity, are presented with a series of chicken wings each cooked in a different sauce.

The intensity or spiciness of the sauces increase exponentially as you progress through the plate of wings until you reach the famous ‘Last Dab’ which is rumored to have a Scoville rating of over two million. The Carolina Reaper, spiciest pepper in the world, is said to have about 1.5 million Scoville units for comparison.

All while you’re running through this gauntlet of incredibly spicy chicken wings Sean Evans (who eats the wings too by the way) will be asking you questions about your life, career, and other personal details that fans may not know about.

When Jimmy Butler appeared on the show, Evans made sure to question him about his love for country music. Butler opened up by saying that he loves country and that it’s his go-to listen before games and practices. He also described a funny story.

When Butler was on the Chicago Bulls, he happened to be jamming out to Taylor Swift one day when his teammate Nazir Muhammad recorded him. Butler would tell Evans, “Next Thing I Know There’s A Video Of Me Singing Taylor Swift.”

You can watch Butler’s complete experience with the chicken wings here as he more often than not (as is expected when eating such hot wings) looks like he’s about to give up. The part about Taylor Swift and the video comes at around the seven minute mark of the video.
