"Nikola Jokic was a big bucket of Crisco": 'Hateful' Skip Bayless tries discrediting Nuggets' MVP for 41 point Game 2 performance

Despite being down by as many as 15 points and conceding a 40-14 run at one point in the contest, the Miami Heat managed to upset the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Backed by Duncan Robinson’s incredible 10-point start to the 4th quarter, Erik Spoelstra’s boys outscored the Nuggets 36-25 in the final period. Nikola Jokic erupting for a 41-point double-double couldn’t stop the Colorado side from losing their first home game of the playoffs 108-111. Meanwhile, the Joker’s mammoth numbers weren’t enough to impress veteran NBA analyst Skip Bayless.

Spamming on his Twitter, as he usually does after any game, Bayless expressed his support for the Heat. After the conclusion of the game, the 71-year-old had strong criticism for the Joker despite the big man putting up a terrific stat line.

Skip Bayless compares Nikola Jokic with a tub of Crisco for ‘greasing’ in shots

The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player dominated in the post in Game 2. Shooting the ball at 57.1% efficiency from the field, the Serbian finished the night with 41 points and also grabbed 11 rebounds.

The five-time All-Star even joined the likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Wilt Chamberlain to become the 4th center ever (1st non-Laker) to record a 40/10 outing in the Finals. During the battle, Jokic also became the 1st center in history to record 500+ points and 100+ assists.

Despite putting up such a dominant performance, Skip Bayless went on to discredit Jokic. Implying that the 6-foot-11 big man was lucky that all his shots went down, the FS1 host disrespectfully compared Jokic with “one big tub of Crisco”.

“I have never ever seen a man luck in as many shots as Joker did tonight. We used to call them “greasing” in shots. Tonight Joker was one big tub of Crisco.”

Bayless is well known for being dismissive and harsh towards players. However, he took things to the next level with this take of his.

Even though Miami clinched the victory, the Joker was the best player on the floor tonight. He not only dominated his matchup against the Heat’s bigs, but was also efficient shooting the rock. Unfortunately for the Joker, the likes of Michael Porter Jr. and KCP didn’t show up by his side.

NBA Twitter rips apart Skip Bayless for his take

As soon as Skip tweeted his opinions on Jokic’s game, NBA Twitter blew up with reactions. Several users tried to school Bayless how “luck” didn’t play any factor in Nikola’s game tonight.

Legendary coach George Karl joined many users, criticizing Bayless for being an “embarrassment” to sports media.

Yes, the Denver Nuggets did allow Jimmy Butler and co. to snatch an away win. However, there is no way that Jokic could be receiving any kind of flak for the display he had tonight.
