LeBron James used the final postgame interview of his 2020-21 NBA season as a plug for Space Jam: A New Legacy, which releases in July.

The Lakers bowed out of the playoffs unceremoniously with a Game 6 loss to the Suns today. It was a massacre from the beginning as the Lakers trotted a half-fit Anthony Davis out with the starting lineup. Devin Booker took full advantage of AD’s lateral immobility to get going early on.
Booker finished the night with 47 points, including a first quarter in which he scored 22. The 2015 NBA draftee connected on a playoff record 6 3-pointers in the first quarter of tonight’s game.
LeBron James and co did their best to get back in the game, and they ended up winning quarters 2 and 3. However, the 36-14 hole they found themselves in during the first half proved to be insurmountable as they ran out of steam in the 4th quarter.
LeBron finished with 29 points on the night, but he was quite clearly off his physical best in what was a war of attrition between two intensely engaged playoff teams. However, he didn’t let it affect his post-game morale as he joked around for a bit.

The last question answered by LeBron in today’s post-game presser concerned his plans for the offseason. James clarified that he is not looking to play in the Tokyo Olympics this year. He also remarked that he’d be using the time off to focus on the Tune Squad:
“I think I’m going to play for the Tune Squad (rather) than the Olympics … Didn’t have much success against the Suns so I’m turning my attention to the Goon Squad in July.”
A very serious @danwoikesports question turns into a plug for Space Jam by LeBron:

James has his legacy set in stone at this point. The man is a top-2 basketball player of all time at worst even today. Another championship run or not, the fact that he’s achieved so much with such extraordinary expectations on his shoulders is something to take pride in.
