The Los Angeles Clippers live to fight another day. After being down 3-1, many assumed that Game 5 in Arizona would be their last for this season. However, Paul George and co. had different plans. The Clippers came were determined from the get-go, and sealed the 116-102 win.
Paul George was magnificent tonight. After a slow 11 point first half, George came out roaring in the second half. PG scored 30 points in the second half alone, and finished the game with 41 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists. It was a historical performance by George to keep the Clippers alive in the race for the Finals.
Paul George is the first player in NBA history to have at least 40 points, 13 rebounds and six assists while shooting at least 75% from the field in a postseason game, per Elias.

Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris Sr. contributed 23 and 22 points respectively as well. DeMarcus Cousins scored a quick 15 points in 11 minutes to give the Clippers a much-needed boost.
Paul George joins an elite company, achieves a rare postseason feat
Paul George was having a rather very consistent post-season till Kawhi Leonard got injured. PG was scoring 20 or more in each contest, and his numbers have just gone up since the Klaw has been sidelined.
With tonight’s game, George now has scored 20 or more in all 18 games this postseason. He joins Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant as the only other players to have achieved this feat.
Paul George has 20 points in all 18 games this postseason.
He’s the 4th player to open a postseason with a streak that long:

Kevin Durant (2012, 2018)
Kobe Bryant (2008)

Hopefully, with these performances, PG would be able to successfully drown out all the noise from the previous postseason. As for now, his main focus would be to go back home and defend the home court in Game 6. The Clippers would look to force a Game 7, while the Suns would like to wrap things up and get some rest before the Finals. Game 6 takes place on Wednesday.
