"Playoff P, Push off P, overrated": Utah Jazz fans chant various names to throw Paul George off in Game 1 against the Jazz

Clippers superstar Paul George gets various different chants at Vivint Smart Arena as Jazz fans try to throw him off of his game

The Los Angeles Clippers are at Salt Lake City to take on Utah Jazz for the Western Conference Semi-Finals. Kawhi Leonard and co., after taking down Luka Doncic and the Mavericks, enter the series on a high note. For the Jazz, they have had some time off to relax, as they finished the Grizzlies off in 5 games.

The Clippers won the first series riding on the incredible performance of Kawhi Leonard. Paul George provided a consistent performance all throughout the series.

Paul George often has the ghosts of the Bubble haunt him. His abysmal performances in Orlando had earned him various titles like ‘Pandemic P’, ‘Playoff P’, and ‘Way off P’. Even though he has worked hard to move past them, these names keep making their way back to him. Although, this time, it was the ghosts of his time in OKC which came to haunt him. The 2018 Jazz vs OKC series had given him a nickname ‘Push off P’, which made its way back to life today.

Utah fans boo Paul George, call him ‘Pushoff P’

The Clippers came out strong in the first half and went into the break with a 60-47 lead. However, the Jazz came back with a mission in the third and tied the game to end the third quarter. Donovan Mitchell scored 16 points in the 3rd to help the Jazz make this turnaround.

On one play, Paul George was fouled as he was attempting a shot and made his way to the free-throw line. The entire arena went up at once, and started chanting ‘Push off P’. PG split his shots from the charity stripe, and fans would argue the chants had something to do about that. Later, they were chanting ‘overrated’ as he was shooting FTs again.

The NBA Twitter cannot stop laughing about the same.

Paul George would surely try to silence the crowd in the future, and would remember today, when he steps out for Game 2.
