Stephen Curry Dumping a Bucket of Ice On Klay Thompson For a Hilarious Reason Resurfaces Amid $43,200,000 Worth Unanswered Question

If anything Klay Thompson is known for, apart from his greatness in shooting the basketball, it is his candid personality. In other words, Thompson likes to keep it real. He recently teamed up with his Splash Brother Stephen Curry against the NFL stars Pat Mahomes and Travis Kelce in Capital One’s “The Match”. During his recent appearance on Paul George’s podcast, Thompson revealed that he was under a lot of pressure because he was well aware of his limitations in the game of golf.

Previously, Curry and Peyton Manning went against Barkley and Phil Mickelson for $5,400,000. Curry lost the match against the NBA legend despite Barkley having his limitations in the sport. The loss ended up costing Steph a missed opportunity to donate $5,400,000 to his favorite charity. However, this time, teamed up with his Splash Brother Klay, Curry was ready to win it all and take the prize home. However, the Warriors duo lost the encounter against their NFL counterparts.

Klay Thompson suggested his friends to put their money on Stephen Curry and not him

In the sit down with Paul George, Thompson said that he had put in a lot of effort for the game, which had his friends believing that he was going to have an outstanding performance. The four-time NBA Champion also added that watching him practice hard, his friends tried to bet all their money on him. However, Thompson warned them to not do so. When he learned that they had already done so, he made them believe that they had actually bet their money on Curry. Thompson said this in the podcast;

“All my friends were like, because they bet, they like to sports gamble and all that and they are like, ‘You and Steph are overwhelming favorites, like Imma put all my money on y’all.’ I am like, ‘Go put all your money on Steph. Don’t put your money on me.'”

Alluding to his horrible performance in The Match, Thompson added that he had a hard time hitting a putt because he was very nervous. “My short game was sh** that day. I couldn’t hit a putt. The chipping-in hole, it’s where it’s hard bro…I haven’t been that nervous in a sports event since Game 1 of the 2015 Finals,” he said.

Perhaps, it was not Thompson’s lack of skill that cost Splash Brothers the game. It was his first golf game in a public event and he must have been stressed out.

Curry won his maiden ACC Tournament recently

Chef Curry won his maiden American Century Championship Tournament at Lake Tahoe’s Edgewood golf course. He won the tournament within a month of losing ‘The Match’ against the NFL stars. While Curry has recently risen up to become one of the best golf players in the NBA community, he proved that all the hype was well deserved. He had a remarkable first-round performance and put a hole-in-one in the second round.

It was a big moment for the four-time NBA champion. He tossed his golf cap and ran to the sidelines to hug his wife Ayesha Curry. While there is no sign of Steph slowing down, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Warriors star pursuing professional golf after his retirement from basketball.
