“Recovery Beer? Say Less”: Luka Doncic’s Wish After a Historic 60/21/10 Performance Been Fulfilled By Michelob ULTRA

On Tuesday night, we witnessed one of the greatest regular season performances of all time. While leading the Dallas Mavericks to mount an improbable comeback, Luka Doncic recorded career-highs in several stats.

Helping the Mavs grab a one-of-a-kind 126-121 OT victory over the New York Knicks, the Slovenian prodigy put up 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Luka, who was visibly tired after scoring 25 points in the 4th period and overtime, honestly stated that he needed a recovery beer after playing 47 minutes of tiring basketball.

In the postgame interview, the 3-time All-Star said:

“I’m tired as hell. I need a recovery beer.”

Michelob Ultra sends beers for Luka Doncic

Luka broke the internet. “Luka Doncic beer” was trending as soon as the postgame interview got over.

Many beer companies quickly used Doncic’s words as a genius marketing plan. One of them being “Lasko”, a Slovenian beer company, who released its new “recovery edition”.

However, Michelob ULTRA took things a step ahead by sending Luka ample crates of beer.

Goes without saying, a smart marketing move made by the American beer company.

Can Luka win the 2023 MVP honors?

Luka was top 5 in the MVP Ladder until a few weeks back. The 6-foot-7 guard stumbled down a few positions and is now #7 in the latest MVP Ladder.

However, after helping the Mavs go on a 4-game win streak while averaging 41.8 points, 9.8 assists, and 11.8 rebounds this past week, Doncic will definitely be going up a few spots in the next MVP Ladder.

Currently, the European superstar has been averaging 33.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game. With the Mavs on the rise in the West, Luka’s chances of winning the 2023 Michael Jordan Trophy will increase accordingly.
