Dennis Rodman is one of the most unique athletes the North American sporting world ever bore witness to. His free-spirited nature was unlike any other’s and this led to him being labelled as an irresponsible man. While this was alright when it came from people on the outside looking in, it would be his own wife at the time who would accuse him of being irresponsible when, according to ‘The Worm’, he was incredibly responsible, with him losing out on nearly $40,000 every month for the ‘greater good’ of his family.

Rodman has had a tremendous amount of relationships with women over the past 4 decades. Whether it was his first wife, Annie Bakes, him marrying Carmen Electra in Las Vegas, or his heavily publicized fling with Madonna, Rodman was in the tabloids most of the time due to his connection to the opposite gender.
However, his most long-standing relationship came when he was with his 3rd wife, Michele Moyer for close to a decade.
Dennis Rodman was accused of irresponsibility by Michelle Moyer
Dennis Rodman and Michelle Moyer tied the knot in 2003 and less than a year into their marriage, Moyer would file for divorce. They would however, remain legally married up until 2012 when they would separate for good.
In 2004, Moyer cited that Rodman was an incredibly irresponsible man. The 5x NBA champion pushed back at this accusation in his book, ‘I Should Be Dead By Now’ where he claimed he had a ton of responsibilities.
“In the divorce papers she filed in 2004, Michelle claimed monthly expenses for her and the kids ran to $17,000, including about $2,000 for Michelle’s personal trainer and $500 and change for ‘hair, nails, tanning, and Botox.’ Take all that and the $15,000 per month in child support I was paying for Alexis and Chance, and the $4,000 I send my mother, and you have a man who feels like he has a s**tload of responsibilities.”
This quote from Rodman says quite a bit about his demeanor. While he may been seen as a ‘party animal’ to the public, he made sure everybody in his life was taken care whether it be his kids, his mother, or his wife with a total of what seems to be $36,000.
Dennis had to fly to his wife after she met with an accident
Michelle Moyer getting into a biking accident led to Rodman flying in from Las Vegas to visit her at the hospital. Moyer was riding on Rodman’s 1992 Harley Davidson with friends when she would lose control of the Harley and get launched off of it.
Moyer sustained a slew of injuries, none of which were life-threatening but was told by doctors that any minor differences in the way she fell off the bike, especially in regards to the guardrail and the story could’ve been much different.
