“Richard Jefferson is kissing up to LeBron James”: Skip Bayless calls out former Cavalier for dissing Michael Jordan as the GOAT scorer in favor of the Lakers star

Skip Bayless takes to Twitter to say that Richard Jefferson is kissing up to LeBron James just so he can make an appearance on his podcast.

LeBron James has most definitely been on everyone’s mind as of late and it’s due to the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers are slipping in the Western Conference standings.

With the possibility of slipping into the play-in tournament, the Lakers received even worse news when it comes to James re-aggravating his right ankle injury, claiming that it is still sore.

With most of the attention on LeBron James and his recent proneness to injury, Richard Jefferson has come out in defense of the ‘King’, breaking down why he’s still the greatest scorer of all time.

He did so on Gilbert Arenas’s ‘No Chill’ podcast where he profusely stated that LeBron James has eclipsed guys like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in terms of being a better scorer.

He certainly had an interesting take on this as he brought up an extremely possible scenario of LeBron James breaking nearly every single scoring record in NBA history by the time he decides to throw in the towel.

Skip Bayless mocks Richard Jefferson for trying to get LeBron James on his good side

The argument on who a better scorer between LeBron James and Michael Jordan would go on for hours at end. It depends on whether someone values consistency over creativity, and vice-versa. Skip Bayless clearly doesn’t take too lightly of RJ tipping the hat to James on this one.

In all fairness, Jefferson’s ‘Road Trippin’ podcast episode which featured the former number one overall pick before the 2020-21 NBA season started did very well, giving fans various nuggets of information about the Lakers going forward.

So, if this really was RJ putting in effort to pander to LeBron to come back on the pod, it shouldn’t really matter as the previous episode with the two was great entertainment.
