The first round of the Eastern Conference play-in games are done and dusted. The Indiana Pacers beat the Charlotte Hornets in a blowout 144-117 win. The Boston Celtics advanced to the playoffs, after beating the Washington Wizards 118-100. The win was propelled by an excellent performance by Jayson Tatum, who scored 50 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Kemba Walker scored 29 points of his own to add to the tally.
As for the Wizards, they could not find their rhythm today. Bradley Beal, who returned to the court after missing four games, scored 22 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and dished 6 assists. Russell Westbrook scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. The Wizards would now prepare to face the Pacers for the final play-in game, to secure the 8th playoff spot. As for the Celtics, they are headed to Brooklyn, where they face the Nets for their first-round matchup.
Skip Bayless calls out Russell Westbrook for poor performance
The play-in game did not go the Wizards’ way. Even though they took an early lead, the Celtics managed to make a comeback, thanks to Tatum. Russell Westbrook had a strong start to the game, but he seemed to sizzle down in the second half.
Skip Bayless pointed out the same on his Twitter and put this up.
No idea what’s going on with Westbrook: 1 rebound the 2nd half. 5 total assists. Left the game early. Injured? Mad at teammates or coach? No idea. But this obviously doesn’t help his reputation for being an all-time great stat machine whose priority is starring over winning.

It isn’t hard to figure out that Skip was disappointed by Westbrook’s performance. He also put out this tweet.
Of all the nights for him to turn back into Russell Westbrick.

The Wizards now have to utilize the second chance they have, when they face the Pacers on Thursday. The winner of that matchup would head to Philadelphia to face the Sixers. The fans would hope both Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal bring their A-game on Thursday.
