Be it in terms of partying or making Shaqtin’ moments around the clock, the world of Shaq is a world of entertainment. And what is a world of entertainment without the entry(ee) of the culinary arts.
A lot of Shaq’s public appearances have often had intersections with the culinary world. From being filmed struggling to each hot wings to being presented to the world as the owner of 17 Auntie Anne’s Pretzel restaurants, The Big Diesel’s eventful life and food have crossed path on multiple instances.
Naturally, having a chef is a requirement for Shaq’s lifestyle. And the Big Diesel’s chef comes with quite the recommendation from the big man himself. Especially regarding his specially curated Shaq McMuffins.
Shaquille O’Neal’s chef, Alex, prepares Shaq McMuffins for the former NBA MVP.
As Shaq declared the proficiency of his chef, Alex, to the world, mention for his Shaq McMuffins didn’t go amiss. While listing Alex’s favorite preparations, The Big Diesel was quick to mention the curated dish among others.
“His name is Alex. He makes a hell of a breakfast. Chicken Caesar salad. Makes a hell of a Shaq McMuffin” remarked Shaq on his chef’s culinary skills. With McMuffin not being a mainstream dish, naturally, questions arose as to what the dish is.
Shaq described it as “sausage and egg on a big ol’piece of Shaq-sized bread”. A Shaq-sized treat worthy of the former MVPs status in the NBA community.
An interesting concept indeed. And knowing Shaq, one that might hit the mainstream in no time.
Why must one say so? Possibly because of the sheer number of investments Shaq has made over his career in the world of food, especially pertaining to franchising. Shaq McMuffins certainly have quite the ring to them indeed.
Shaquille O’Neal owns various food chain franchises in his investment portfolio.
O’Neal is worth around $400 million and is one of the most financially sound athletes in the world. And amongst Superman’s investments are quite the few franchise outlets.
In addition to the earlier mentioned pretzel restaurant chain, Shaq owns franchises of quite the line-up indeed. Papa John’s, Five Guys, and Krispy Kreme are among the names in his portfolio.
A Shaq McMuffin by Alex is certainly not out of place at a Papa John’s or a Five Guys store. Make it happen, Shaq. For the people. A Shaq-sized treat is what the culture deserves, at this point.
