“Scripted, Staged, Premeditated”: Skip Bayless Claims Floyd Mayweather’s Brawl With John Gotti III ‘Fake’

Speaking on the Undisputed, Skip Bayless claimed that the brawl that broke out between Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III after their exhibition match was fake. Legendary professional boxer Mayweather retired back in 2017 but still participates in exhibition matches with huge payrolls. And this fight was stopped by referee Kenny Bayless with less than a minute remaining in the 6^th round.

John Gotti III allegedly said “f*** you” to Mayweather, leading to complete chaos from both sides. Speaking on Undisputed, Skip Bayless went on a long rant against the fight, claiming that it was staged. Bayless said that Mayweather was being paid huge amounts to put on a show, but it was well beneath his dignity to be involved in it

Skip Bayless claims the Floyd Mayweather-John Gotti III fight was staged

Bayless appears to be one of the few claiming that the entire brawl is staged. The two fighters landed punches on each other before their teams rushed in to break the brawl.

First, Bayless claimed on Twitter that the brawl had been staged. He then proceeded to explain his point of view on Undisputed.

Bayless said that while Mayweather was being paid big money, John Gotti III did not have the credentials to actually compete against him. Furthermore, he said that it was beneath Mayweather to be involved in such an event:

“Floyd’s being paid a whole lot of money to put on a show. You can’t really put on a show against John Gotti III. [Gotti] didn’t belong in the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr. But, Floyd didn’t belong in the ring with him, either. At some point, isn’t it beneath Floyd’s dignity, even for $10 million to do this?”

The phrase ‘hot take’ doesn’t quite describe what Bayless has said here. And while some would like to believe this is the case, the drama the incident has spurred on makes it hard to believe any of what happened was scripted.

John Gotti III’s sister Nicolette responds with an angry threat against Floyd Mayweather

Gotti’s sister Nicolette also threatened Mayweather’s daughter on Instagram, claiming that his family was like a pack of zoo animals. The sheer nature of the Instagram comment appeared to be angry, and serious. Take a look at the tweet by ‘Big Man on Campus‘ to see what Gotti’s daughter put out on Instagram.

Nicolette claimed that she is coming after Mayweather’s daughter two to three years down the line. Mayweather has two daughters, the 23-year-old Iyanna, and the 19-year-old Jirah Mayweather. But whether or not this fight will truly happen remains unconfirmed.
