Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Spent 36 Per Cent of His $1,400,000 Car Collection on Maybach S 680 Virgil Abloh

OKC Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has an extremely impressive car collection said to be worth $1,400,000. The Canadian international recently won the bronze medal at the FIBA World Cup and will be itching to get back home and drive his luxury vehicles. The incredible collection includes a range of incredible vehicles from Lamborghini and Mercedes, including a Maybach, Huracan, and an Urus. Of these, Gilgeos-Alexander’s Mercedes Maybach alone cost him half a million dollars, which makes for a whopping 36% of his overall car collection, as revealed by Celebrity Cars.

Shai recently signed a 5-year, $179.3 million deal with the OKC Thunder last offseason. That guarantees him approximately $30 million just next season, which will increase to around $40 million for the 2026-27 season, according to Sportrac. Shai’s interesting contract stipulations mean that he will be eligible for a whopping $400 million extension in the 2027 season, according to Sports Illustrated. That means he will now have more than enough money for him to splurge on any vehicle that he wishes to buy.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s car collection is worth $1.4 million

Gilgeous-Alexander does not have a huge car collection. Instead, he seems to especially be a fan of Mercedes and Lamborghinis, if his garage is anything to go by. Still, it isn’t the kind the regular Joe could afford, being worth $1.4 million.

Of all his cars, his Mercedes AMG G63 ($200,000), Lamborghini Urus ($350,000), and Lamborghini Huracan ($250,000) undeniably stand out. However, none of these cars are as valuable as his limited-edition Maybach S60 Virgil Abloh

The limited edition car has only 150 models available around the world and is valued at a whopping $500,000. As mentioned previously, that alone represents approximately 36% of the overall value of the car collection Shai possesses.

The vehicle comes in a stunning sand and black color combination and has a range of special features. The following is what the Mercedes of Littleton, had to say about some of the car’s most striking characteristics.

“The specially-forged rims are also sand-colored, giving the vehicle a cohesive and earthy appearance. The only other deviation from the classic S680 look is the front bumper, which has been de-chromed to a matte black.”

Overall, the car possesses a calming exterior design coupled with some ultra-luxury interiors, that make it well worth the money the OKC superstar paid for it.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is ready for the new season

Team Canada was eventually defeated in the Semi-Finals against Lithuania, in the FIBA World Cup. Still, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a successful campaign and was his team’s best player.

Shai averaged 24.5 points along with 6.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He shot at almost 90% from the free throw line and claimed after the tournament that he was ready for the new NBA season.

The highest-paid player on the Canadian team, Shai said that he was looking forward to the NBA season, and already felt in touch and fit, according to EuroHoops. He claimed that Team Canada was now focused on winning the Olympics after losing in the semifinals of the FIBA World Cup.
