"Shaquille O'Neal got his big old foot caught up in some cables": Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson discuss the Lakers legend's hilarious fall on live TV back in 2015

The Inside Story features Shaquille O’Neal and co discussing about a ton of incidents from the show. One of those was Shaq’s fall in 2015.

Inside the NBA is easily the most entertaining sports pre-game show across the board. Each of the quartet from Ernie, Kenny, Chuck and Shaq plays a pivotal role in making it a grand success.

While Chuck and Shaq are usually the ones hogging the limelight, they’re usually very well set up by Kenny and Ernie. The latter duo is especially great at playing the straight man’s role, and at setting up jokes.

Some people might consider Shaq to be a sensitive old-school guy who doesn’t care for the new generation. But the truth is, he brings more attention to the show than anyone with some hilarious mishaps himself.

The Inside crew discussed one specific moment from Shaq that was probably the peak of his 10-year career on TV.

Shaquille O’Neal falling over on live TV was unscripted, according to Chuck and co

During the incident in question, Shaq and Kenny have a bet over who’s the faster dude of the two. Shaq believed, and stated confidently, that Kenny’s bad knees did not augur well for him in a foot race.

The overconfidence displayed by the Lakers legend proved to be his undoing in a short while. Shaq excitedly got up from his seat and began racing to the back of the studio. In his rush, he forgot to examine his surroundings, leading to his feet getting entangled with a wire.

Shaq fell in hilarious fashion – one might even say he fell in Humpty-Dumpty fashion if you’re of that persuasion. You should take a look, it’s absolutely hysterics-inducing.

Shaq kept exclaiming “You set me up!” as an almost tearfully gleeful Kenny taunted him on the ground. Chuck says the incident wasn’t staged one bit, and judging from the camaraderie they’ve shown over the years, you should believe Chuck this time around.
