Shaquille O'Neal's 6ft 10" Son Shareef Cements His Loyalty to LSU, Makes Bold Claim About Angel Reese on IG

LA Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal played for the LSU Tigers for three years. He had a dominating college basketball career and became a national celebrity during this time. His eldest son, the 23-year-old Shareef O’Neal, also played for LSU after transferring midseason from the Bruins during the 2019-20 season. The O’Neal family appears to be huge Angel Reese supporters, with Shaq previously claiming that she might be the best athlete to come out of LSU.

Shareef was part of the 2022 NBA draft and has been playing in the NBA G-League, recently. However, he appears to still be loyal to LSU and Angel Reese. Shareef shared a picture of himself on Instagram with a mural of the infamous Angel Reese celebration which she did during the NCAA Championship game in April.

Shareef O’Neal agrees with Dad’s claim about Angel Reese being the GOAT

Shaquille O’Neal had only recently claimed that Angel Reese was the best athlete in the history of the LSU student program. Reese transferred to LSU after 2 seasons in Maryland.

In the finals against Iowa Hawkeyes, Reese found herself repeating John Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” celebration, initially deployed by Caitlyn Clark. Clark had done the celebration against LSU in the round of 16 stages, leading to a satisfying revenge for Angel Reese.

The LSU Tigers won the Championship game in a 102-85 blowout. Shaq later claimed that Reese was the best athlete to ever come out of LSU, something Shareef O’Neal acceded to, according to his latest Instagram story.

Shaquille O’Neal had claimed that Reese was probably the greatest athlete to come out of LSU. In response, Reese claimed that she had not done anything yet in order to win the status.

The 21-year-old, who calls Shaquille O’Neal “uncle,” had joked that his comment led to a huge increase in pressure on her. O’Neal had apparently told Reese that he “does not give a f**k” and had full faith in her abilities to continue coming good for LSU.

Angel Reese will be looking to win back-to-back NCAA championships

It has been a tremendous story for Angel Reese and the LSU Tigers. Reese set the NCAA alight after transferring from Maryland, setting records for highest double-doubles and rebounds in her first season.

In the Finals against Iowa, she was chosen as the MVP after finishing with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. It was her 34th double-double of the season.

Apart from the final celebration, Reese was also seen involved in trash-talking against Caitlin Clark, who finished the game with 30 points and 8 assists. Reese’s commanding performances hold LSU in good stead for the upcoming season. The expectation is back-to-back Championships, something Reese appears fully capable of delivering.
