Sheck Wes basketball: NBA Twitter reacts to declaring for the NBA Draft 2020

Sheck Wes Basketball : Sheck Wes made an unexpected declaration on Wednesday, declaring for the NBA Draft. Understandably, he went undrafted.

The 22-year-old rapper from Harlem shot to fame for the first time for his single ‘Mo Bamba’. Released in June 2017, the song peaked at no. 6 on Billboard’s Hot 100 many months after its release. Sheck Wes is a friend of the basketball player by the same name – Mo Bamba – who he grew up with in the projects in Harlem.

Sheck Wes recently uploaded an edited video, in which the New York Knicks select him with their first round pick next year. The video elicited a torrent of reactions from NBA fans.

The reactions to the 22-year-old rapper’s declaration ranged from having faith in him to dismissing his chances at entering the best basketball league in the world.

Many fans also wanted Mo Bamba to pitch the Magic to recruit 6’2″ player, who will likely slot in at the guard position if he ever makes it to a pro basketball team.

It is unclear if Sheck Wes did this as a publicity stunt, or if he really intends to make it to the league. It suffices to say that he has only the slightest glimmer of chances of being considered one of the 150 best guards in the world. But if he does make it to the NBA, this would be a first of many sorts.
