WATCH: Mo Bamba Interrupts LeBron James and the Lakers’ Superstition With Gross Prank Ahead of Game 2
LeBron James and the Lakers have made it very, very far, considering where they started the season. Of course, the biggest part of that was the trades they made. However, not all of the players they acquired recently have enjoyed the limelight. Mo Bamba, while initially in the rotation, got injured once again, before quickly finding himself right out of it. Now, the former Magic man has been forced to become a bit of a comedian and just an overall hype guy for the team from the sidelines. And up ahead of Game 2, with the whole team tensed out of their minds, he did it yet again, pulling an almost inappropriate prank, considering the time he chose to do so.
Mo Bamba shoves his finger in a teammate’s ear during LeBron James and the team’s chanting time
LeBron James has seen this team go from one that had no chance in the world to even make the NBA playoffs, all the way to one that is challenging for the NBA title. It’s a big shift. And as you might expect, it comes with a little bit of superstition too. And apparently for this Lakers side, it is chanting before every game.
But apparently, these little moments don’t mean too much for Mo Bamba. Instead, it’s probably safe to assume that the man gets a little bored during these times, since as the clip in the tweet by ESPN shows below, he decided to resort to a little prank.

Judging by the haircut, the player on the wrong end of it could be Lonnie Walker III. However, given that you can’t see his face, it is hard to be sure. That aside though, we wonder how LeBron James feels about this. At the end of the day, that was supposed to be a serious moment of prayer. But instead, it is now being shared by the entire NBA community as a bit of a joke. Something tells us he is not going to like that.
