Stephen Curry Has His Say on Who Could Stop Him: “Hopefully We’ll Never Find Out”

Stephen Curry saved the Golden State Warriors from a first-round exit in the best way possible. With his 50-point effort, the 6ft 3’ point guard didn’t just help win the Dubs the do-or-die in Sacramento with a 120-100 score line but also became the first player in NBA history to put up 50 in Game 7.

This was one of the hardest-fought series the 4x Champion has ever been a part of and so it needed a heroic exclamation for the decider. Now a LeBron James team waits for them yet again, but for the first time in the second round, they are well-prepared for almost everything the Warriors have to throw at them, except for, The Chef.

It’s been 14 years since he came into the league, and there’s still no answer to “how to stop Steph”? And the 2x MVP wants it to stay that way.

Stephen Curry hopes we never find a Curry-stopper

The 7th pick of the 2009 Draft is now one of the greatest guards to ever dribble a basketball. There is still nobody in the NBA who could claim to stop the 35-year-old. And Steph looked confident that we wouldn’t find out.

The man said it humbly, though. After the Warriors won Game 7, a reporter, in the post-game presser, asked if anybody can stop him.

“Hopefully we’ll never find out,” said Curry.

Humble yet savage. One of a kind.

Is there anybody in the Lakers squad that can match up to Curry?

While the Purple and Gold team, as a unit, has shown they can defend pretty well against a solid offensive team, they do not have a guard that can match up to Steph.

Sure there’s Anthony Davis who will present him to trouble him in the paint and Austin Reaves is a menace on the perimeter, but there’s no individual player in the Lakers squad who can actually even slow down the Dubs’ assassin in a 7 game series.

However, apart from the opening game back in October, the Warriors have not been able to beat the Lakers throughout this season and have a 1-3 record against them.

The way they have beaten the Kings, only the Lakers are a team in the West that might have an answer for this team. So, let’s wait and watch how the best series of the 2023 post-season unfolds on Tuesday.
