After losing the first two games of round 1, the Warriors have turned things around and tied the series at 2-2. The final moments of the game were as chaotic as can be. The Stephen Curry side was hanging on by a thread until the last second.

And though the Warriors came out with a win, it was hard to tell until the very end who’d take the game. Apart from the bad calls taken by both teams and some horrible passes and shooting, it was an interesting game. Especially the defense really showed up. Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins made some important defensive plays to keep their team in contention.
However, Steph Curry, who is undeniably the best player on the team, made a serious blunder. He called for a timeout with just 42 seconds remaining on the clock.
Before the blunder, Doris Burke launched into a monologue praising Stephen Curry. Her glorification of the Warriors guard clearly showed how much she appreciates the superstar but in her appreciation, she claimed Curry is still underrated
Doris Burke claims Stephen Curry is still underrated
Curry is one of the best players in the world. In fact, historically, there has never been a shooter as good as him and it is even hard to imagine someone in the future who’d match Curry‘s output from the three-point line.
Filled with such talent, it’s hard not to glorify Curry. He is after all one of a kind. But commentator Doris Burke went a step further during the game 4 broadcast in her praise and claimed Curry is so good that he is still underrated.
This is certainly a big statement from a commentator of Burke’s caliber. Steph is a global phenom who is already placed among the all-time greats. Doris claiming he is still underrated means that she believes he could be considered a top-ten player of all time. This would put Curry on the same pedestal as Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
Burke: “It’s not just that he is the greatest shooter in the history of the sport, it’s what Steve Kerr gets from him on a daily basis. Every day there are questions about his rotation. When he plays, with whom, and for how long. He does whatever you ask him to do. And if a game plan doesn’t work out the way the staff expects or maybe he has a hard game or maybe shoots poorly, have you ever, one time, heard a whiff of a complaint from Steph Curry? It is not just about the basketball greatness, it is about the personal greatness. If I know what I can get every single day, that the first guy in the weight room to change the body is Steph Curry. Draymond Green has said it, his strength, his balance, his flexibility it is all a part of how he has improved over time. I don’t know if I am wrong on this one, but I think it is possible that that guy (Stephen Curry) is still underrated.”
Did Doris Burke actually say Stephen Curry might be underrated lmao

Is Steph Curry underrated?
In all fairness, Burke has a point. Curry is often just categorized as the greatest shooter of all time. This is a convenient argument for those who do not wish to include him in the top players’ list.
With 4 championships, 2 MVPs, and 1 Finals MVP, Curry certainly has the portfolio for an All-time great. So, yes. There is indeed a possibility that Steph is still underrated considering all that he has achieved in his career.
