Stephen Curry Proves Age Is Just A number, Joining Michael Jordan And Kareem Abdul-Jabbar In A Historic Feat

With the Golden State Warriors having lost both games at the Golden 1 Center, Stephen Curry decided to take matters into his own hands as the series shifted to San Francisco.

Recording a staggering 36-point performance in Game 3 of the contest, the 2-time MVP led his team to a comfortable 114-97 win. In Game 4, The Baby-Faced Assassin picked up right where he left off.

With Steve Kerr allowing his star player to play the entirety of the final period, Chef Curry stuffed the stat sheet with yet another outstanding performance. In 42:42 minutes, the 9-time All-Star recorded 32 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Thanks to Steph, and the valuable 48-point contributions by Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole, the defending champs clinched a 126-125 win.

Stephen Curry trails only Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in an impressive feat

After the conclusion of the game, ESPN Stats & Info revealed that Steph’s performance through the first four games of the 2023 postseason found him a spot in the history books.

Having lodged a total of 126 points so far, Curry put up the 3rd highest total for any player aged 35 or older in the first four games of any playoff. The only two players that the GSW’s shifty guard trails – Michael Jordan (144) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (133).

Averaging 32 PPG on a 49/40/95 shooting split at the age of 35 is simply remarkable. And for the same, NBA Twitter couldn’t stop praising the 6-foot-3 sharpshooter.

While Curry has been a class apart from his competition at all times during the series, the Warriors can only win if their future Hall-Of-Famer keeps producing such outings.

The Golden State Warriors trio achieve historic postseason accomplishment

With the win against De’Aaron Fox and co., the San Francisco-based franchise’s All-Star trio of Klay, Draymond Green, and Curry clinch their 94th postseason win together.

This milestone is the 3rd most by any trio in NBA history – trailing Tim Duncan, Tony Parker & Manu Ginobili (126), along with Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson & Michael Cooper (110).

Yes, reaching the 94 postseason victories milestone is a huge achievement. However, Dub Nations would want their trio to grab 14 more wins and add a 5th championship to these stars’ resume.
