The 2020-21 NBA season continues to be jam-packed with numerous surprises, and it hasn’t even been 2 weeks since the commencement of the season. Everything from the Clippers and Bucks suffering blowout losses to the Wizards being down 0-5, this season is most definitely a strange one.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been quite solid to start of the season, boasting a 4-1 record. The Sixers have been in the tabloids for months now. This is solely due to the James Harden to Philly rumors.
Someone who is actively involved as a trade piece in those rumors is Ben Simmons. Simmons has been improving gradually, as each season passes. To showcase the work he put in, he decided to let it fly from beyond the arc last night against the Magic.
Ben Simmons drains a corner 3 and is unfazed by it.
Sixers fans have been yearning for the moment to arrive when Ben Simmons would comfortably attempt multiple shots from 3. Simmons has given them some hope as the sole attempt he took last night hit nothing but net.
Ben Simmons was asked about his first made 3 pointer of the season and it seemed as though the Australian native didn’t really see it to be all that special. He said, “Joel threw it to me in the corner and I let it go. I don’t have a long answer for you.”
Reporter: Talk about that 3 you hit
Simmons: Talk about? Shit, what you want me to say? Fuck..Yo, I came down, Aaron Gordon went under, Joel threw it to me in the corner and I let it go…I don’t have a long answer for you.”(they were joking around with each other)

Sixers fans were given a taste of what it felt like to have Ben Simmons shoot from beyond the arc. Last season, Simmons hit his first career 3 pointer in practically the same spot against the Knicks.
The Wells Fargo Center, for lack of a better word, went ballistic. Unfortunately, fans in the stands could not react to Simmons’s first 3 of the season.
