"The King still rules the clutch": A recent statistic shows that LeBron James is more clutch than Kevin Durant in NBA Playoffs

A recent stat compilation by an Instagram user shows how Lakers’ superstar LeBron James is more clutch than Kevin Durant in the NBA Playoffs

When someone thinks about the faces of the NBA in the current day, there are mainly just two names that come to mind. LeBron James and/or Kevin Durant. The two have been in the league for over a decade and have been dominating the game. It has often been thought that when LeBron retires, the torch would pass to Durant as the ‘face of the league’.

Considering how good these two are, there has always been a constant debate about which one of them is better. While Kevin Durant is a better scorer hands-down, LeBron James provides an overall punch. Despite the two facing off in three different NBA Finals, no one has been able to zero in on who’s better.

A statistic shows LeBron James is more clutch than Kevin Durant in the playoffs

LeBron James and Kevin Durant, both have ample playoff experience under their belts. While the comparison between the two had subsided for a while, it grew again during this postseason. Even though LeBron and his Lakers got eliminated before Durant and his Nets, a stat shows that LBJ still may hold the edge over KD.

The post, made by an Instagram page named ‘All Iconic Sports’, shows how during clutch minutes, teams can rely upon LeBron James more than KD.

However, this graphic does not seem to account for all the things that go into a game. Even though it shows how LBJ has better numbers in clutch time, they do not include how KD dominates throughout the game. Also, LBJ has more experience and more games played, so that affects the final outcome as well.

At the end of the day, both the players are invaluable to their teams, and we should not compare them for they play different roles.
