Wanda Durant, Kevin Durant’s mom, is seen trash talking and chirping at PJ Tucker from the bench during the Nets-Bucks Game 7.
An interesting storyline that’s developed during this Brooklyn Nets-Milwaukee Bucks ECSF is PJ Tucker being glued to Kevin Durant on the defensive end of the floor. The ‘sneaker god’ and KD are both University of Texas alums, with Tucker being drafted the same year Durant made his way as a freshman to the university: 2006.

Now, after almost a decade and a half since they both made it to the NBA, they are now once again matched up against one another in a crucial Playoff series, this time out East. Back when Kevin Durant was with the Warriors, PJ Tucker couldn’t seem to get enough of going against KD in the postseason as the Rockets met the Dubs several times past the regular season.
“I’m living my dream right now guarding Kevin Durant,” said Tucker back in 2019. Fast-forward two years later and this still seems to be the case as at 36 years of age, PJ has been able to do a decent enough job on perhaps the greatest scorer of all time.

Tensions ran high between Kevin Durant and Tucker during Game 3, a scuffle that led to the former’s bodyguard being fired due to him trying to get involved with an on-court entanglement. This of course, was a result of competitive spirit and nothing more as the two are great friends off the court.
Wanda Durant, who’s always been by her son’s side throughout his NBA career, was seen on the sidelines of this Bucks-Nets Game 7. In a hilarious moment caught during the 3rd quarter, she’s seen chirping at players on the court. This warranted an unknown response from PJ, to which Wanda looked like he said, “Love you.”

This response shouldn’t surprise a whole lot of people because as mentioned before, Kevin Durant and Tucker share a great relationship off the court. The latter even hosted Durant’s recruitment drive in Texas for him.

She said it to him. Him and KD are really close friends.
