“This isn’t the Bubble, Miami Heat”: Milwaukee Bucks troll Jimmy Butler and co as they imply the Heat are frauds for having made the NBA Finals last season

The Milwaukee Bucks social media team hilariously calls out the Miami Heat but saying, “This isn’t the Bubble,” after having swept them.

The 2020 NBA Playoffs had several instances take place where many believed, wouldn’t take place if the postseason took place in normal conditions. The Bubble gave teams neutral ground all-round as home court advantage was stripped away from higher seeds as all games happened in Disney World, Orlando.

Teams such as the Los Angeles Clippers and the Milwaukee Bucks severely underperformed and other squads such as the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets went much further than most expected. The Milwaukee Bucks, in particular, were gentlemen swept by the Heat in the 2nd round while being considered the favorites to represent the Eastern Conference in the Finals.

Fast-forward to this season and the tables have quite literally turned as Giannis and the Bucks swept the Heat in the first round of the Playoffs yesterday, booking their ticket to the second round to face off against the winner of Brooklyn-Boston.

The Bucks social media page trolls the Miami Heat for getting swept.

After putting up a good fight in the first half and even leading by 7 at halftime, an abysmal 3rd quarter would eventually lead to the Heat’s demise in Game 4. The Milwaukee Bucks would relish in the fact that they swept their 2020 postseason detractors this year and flooded social media with posts that directly call out Jimmy Butler and co.

The Bucks took to Twitter to write the caption, “This isn’t the Bubble,” as a direct shot to the Miami Heat as they play into the narrative of the Heat being good only when in the Orlando Bubble. This might hold some truth to as quite nearly every single star on Miami had a major dip in averages across the board from last year’s Playoffs to this year’s.

The Bucks would also adopt the Heat’s ‘Vice City’ theme and animate the Bucks players into the graphic, along with posting a video of all the fans on social media who doubted the Bucks and claimed the Heat would sweep them instead of the other way around.

With the Bucks making short work of their ‘ghosts of Bubble’s past’ (as Zach Lowe would put it), Giannis and company have an ample amount of time to rest before facing off against either Boston or Brooklyn in the second round.
