Donovan Mitchell gets after the Jazz veterans for ‘being lazy’ in the gym and constantly being on their phones instead of working out.
Donovan Mitchell has effectively inserted himself into the conversation for being one of the best young, number one options on offense in the NBA today. This upper echelon of players includes the likes of Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, and even Trae Young for that matter. Despite the Utah Jazz being knocked off in the 2nd round, Donovan Mitchell has been turning heads these past two postseason runs.

Donovan Mitchell has averaged 29 points on near 40% shooting from beyond the arc in 33 Playoff games in his career and this can be attributed to the work he puts in on the court during the offseason. His stats show these improvements as he’s increased his scoring average while also improving his efficiency every year from 3 point range.
The Utah Jazz’s success, however, cannot be solely attributed to Mitchell and the fact that he’s been tearing up the league as a pseudo-Dwyane Wade 2.0. Guys like Joe Ingles, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Mike Conley have provided him with a solid, veteran supporting cast to propel the Jazz to greater heights.
Donovan Mitchell goes after his teammates for not working out when in the gym.
In a hilarious video posted on his Instagram stories, Donovan Mitchell doxed one of his veteran teammates for constantly looking at his phone instead of working out. Fans however, fired back at Mitchell for also being on his phone and recording his teammate. It seems as though these fans don’t understand sarcasm all too well.

What makes the video even more amusing is the fact that he captioned it with, “This generation never works man!” and tagged all off his vets like Mike Conley and Royce O’Neal.
Mitchell made a large chunk of Utah Jazz hold their breath following yet another postseason flameout as they feared he might leave for a bigger market. However, it’s safe to say that with videos like this surfacing, these fans have little to nothing to worry about.
