‘Upset’ Stephen Curry Uploads ‘Emotional’ Goodbye Stories for Former Warriors’ GM Bob Myers

The last 12 hours have been an emotional ride for not only people associated with the Warriors but for the entire Dubnation as well. We’d gotten accustomed to seeing Bob Myers as the team’s GM. I mean, why wouldn’t we? He’s been there for the past 11 years, during which he orchestrated one of the most successful runs in NBA History. Just like all of us, Stephen Curry was emotional upon hearing Bob’s decision as well. He took to Instagram to share stories thanking and bidding adieu to Myers.

Before Stephen Curry took to his Instagram, we already knew what he felt about this move. In the press conference, Bob Myers shared that Steph understood the decision but was ‘upset’ about it.

Stephen Curry shares stories thanking Bob Myers

Steph has been with the Warriors for 14 seasons, during which 11 came with Bob Myers. He showed faith in Steph by extending a 4-year, $44 Million deal, which in turn ended up being one of the best deals in NBA History. Not only did they build a championship team together, but they also developed friendship and camaraderie.

Taking to his Instagram, Steph shared stories with the following message,

“Before the trophies and the memories over this run, I Remember I told you “you better get it right!” And you did. The GM role was great and you did your thing, but Forever grateful for you as a friend forever. Changed each other’s lives! Enjoy the next chapter my guy.”

“Thank you Bob!”

It’s not only Steph who felt the need to thank Bob for all he’d done. The same was applicable the other way as well.

Bob Myers took time to thank Steph for the past 11 years

While talking to the press, Bob Myers made sure to mention how special Stephen Curry had been. He went as far as to say that working with Steph has been a special gift that he can never repay.

That just shows the love the two have for each other and the mutual respect. While Bob might not be with the Warriors anymore, we can say for sure that he’ll be rooting for his guys wherever he goes.
