"We Did Not Need This 'Fake Tough Guy' Act From Rudy Gobert": NBA Twitter Reacts to 7-foot French Big Man Being Ejected

Things got a little ugly during the second quarter of the game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the OKC Thunder when 7-foot Rudy Gobert got into a scuffle with Kenrich Williams. What followed was the ejection of the three-time DPOY from the contest after being assessed with a flagrant two.

The above play had Williams sinking a floater while driving into Gobert, which led to the former tumbling down on the floor, taking the French big man with him in what looked unintentional. Nonetheless, what followed made it an ugly episode between the two parties.

Post landing on the floor, in what appeared to be Gobert tripping Williams, following which he even tried to kick the 6ft 6″ forward, leading to the two getting into a scuffle before the officials and teammates would rush to separate the two parties involved.

It’s been a rough start to the season for the T-Wolves, who entered Saturday night’s game with an 11-11 record. In what seemed to be a blockbuster trade of having acquired Gobert, the Minnesota team looks far away from being a legitimate contender in the west. Hopefully, Chris Finch and co can flip the switch going forward.
