Hawks star Trae Young sends out a warning to the Bucks and the rest of the league, after winning Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals
The Atlanta Hawks like to make a bold first statement. They now have won the first game of each of the three series these playoffs. After a three-year playoff absence, the Hawks have made a solid return to the big stages.
Tonight, the Hawks beat the Bucks 116-113 in a Game 1 full of grit and determination. No team ever had a huge advantage over the other. The Bucks had a five-point lead at the half. Since then, the Hawks came roaring and had an eight-point turnaround in the third. The Hawks maintained that advantage and secured the important Game 1 win on the road.
Trae Young was the star of the show, scoring 48 points, dishing 11 assists, and grabbing 7 rebounds. John Collins and Clint Capela recorded double-doubles as well. As for the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo almost had a triple-double, putting up 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. Jrue Holiday finished the match with 33 points and 10 assists.

The Atlanta Hawks are here, and they are not messing around. After taking down the Knicks and the Sixers, they are aiming to tame the deer. Getting the Game 1 win on the road would be a huge morale booster for the team, and they would like to keep the momentum going.
After the game, Trae Young was stopped for a quick interview. There Young acknowledged the challenges they’re up against while displaying the confidence to take them on with his team. While he was talking about the Bucks and the weapons they have(Giannis, Khris Middleton, Holiday), Trae said they have weapons too.

It would be interesting to see whether the Hawks can maintain the momentum going into Game 2, or would the Bucks come roaring back. Game 2 takes place on Friday in Milwaukee.
