“We want Bradley Beal out here with us in Golden State!”: The Athletic reveals Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have demanded for the front office to bring the Wizards star on board
NBA Insider reveals that Warriors trio Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have urged the front office to go after Bradley Beal
There have been heaps of trade rumors about the Golden State Warriors this offseason. After all, everyone expects the team to at least become something close to contenders again, something they need another star-level player to do. But, while the rumors connecting them to most players have died down over time, this one with Bradley Beal has been a completely different story.
As many know, it has been a while since this rumor surfaced. At first, most that heard it simply shook it off (except that really optimistic section of Warriors fans of course). But, as time has gone on, this story has only seemed to develop further. And now, it’s all starting to get very, very interesting for even the neutral fan.
So, what is going on? Is this all a hoax? Or is there actually something here that Wizards fans need to be worried about?
Let’s answer all of these questions, shall we?

Marcus Thompson of the Athletic reveals that the Golden State Warriors trio desperately wants Bradley Beal this offseason
If you have been a fan of the NBA for a while, you know that The Athletic doesn’t mess around. And we doubt that has changed with this report.
Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are incredible, don’t get us wrong. However, they clearly need another star to make a push for the championship. And according to Marcus Thompson of The Athletic, it seems they have found the one they want.
According to the reporter, the Warriors trio has “made it clear to management they want the franchise to focus on the pursuit of a championship.” They have even requested the front office to “consider using their two lottery picks to get someone who can help immediately.”
Further, the Athletic reporter had this to say.
“Should the Warriors go that route, Beal, the Washington Wizards’ guard who made third-team All-NBA, is deemed to be the best player and best fit for the Warriors among the players who could potentially be available this offseason.”
The Golden State Warriors would have strong interest in aquiring Bradley Beal if he decides to leave Washington.

This isn’t the only indication a deal could happen either. There have been reports that the Wizards are interested in off-loading Russell Westbrook to the Lakers. If that really is the case, then it would mean that Washington has officially entered into rebuild mode. And if there is a rebuild, not only will Bradley Beal not be on their timeline anymore, but the Warriors’ trade assets in the lottery picks, and even potentially James Wiseman start to look very attractive.
There is obviously still a very long way to go here. But, if the Warriors’ front office can make this happen, we might be seeing a Brooklyn vs Golden State Finals matchup next season.
