Who is Ms. Lauryn Hill? Kyrie Irving’s Tweet Brings Fugees Female Rapper to the Front Amid Michel Pras’s Alleged Confession

The world is currently engrossed in the controversy surrounding Michel Pras. A former member of The Fugees, Pras has been accused of being an illegal agent of China. It is a case that has garnered a lot of attention, even in the world of basketball. Seeing as NBA superstar Kyrie Irving is following the case closely.

Uncle Drew recently shared his thoughts on the case via Twitter. In particular, Kyrie was greatly disturbed by the fact that someone from the rap group The Fugees would be an “FBI informant”. The inaccuracy in his post aside, his tweets come as no surprise, given his self-image as an anti-establishment icon.

His follow-up tweet is also worthy of attention. In it, he made mention of Ms. Lauryn Hill. Someone he claims was forced to retire due to such controversies. But, who exactly is Ms. Lauryn Hill?

Kyrie Irving brings Ms. Laura Hill to the forefront of the Michel Pras case with a controversial tweet

Kyrie Irving may have gotten wildly confused regarding the Michel Pras case, but it does provide us with an opportunity to educate the masses. In his series of tweets surrounding the same, Kyrie name-dropped Ms. Lauryn Hill. A figure he claims may have been lost to the annals of history thanks to this controversy.

Lauryn Noelle Hill was the former frontwoman of The Fugees. The group consisted of herself, Michel Pras, and Wyclef Jean. The group was active for seven years from 1990-1997 but broke up because of the tumultuous relationship between Hill and Jean.

Despite Kyrie’s insistence that Hill disappeared without anyone ever knowing why, the truth of the matter is that she has been very candid about it. She cited, “tentacled obstructionists, politics, repressing agendas, unrealistic expectations and saboteurs everywhere” as the reason for her departure.

They are all good reasons that support Irving’s agenda. But, unfortunately, no proof has been provided that corroborates the same. But, is she somehow involved in Pras’ case?

Ms. Lauryn Hill has little to no connection with Michel Pras’ case

In all honesty, despite the media attention surrounding it, the case of Michel Pras has very little to do with either The Fugees or Ms. Lauryn Hill. Ultimately, Pras is being tried for his role as an agent of China and for his connections with Chinese and Malaysian billionaire Jho Low.

The only connection there is between this case and Hill is that thanks to his legal problems The Fugees’ reunion tour got cancelled.

Sadly, fans will not get to hear classic hits like “Killing Me Softly With His Song”. But, at least they can take solace in the fact that Michel Pras is the only Fugee under investigation.
