"Who needs LeBron James when we have Kevin Durant": Skip Bayless takes a shot at Lakers star will comparing KD to Michael Jordan in Team USA's Olympic campaign

Co-host of Undefeated, Skip Bayless takes yet another dig at LeBron James, while backing Kevin Durant and Team USA for the Gold

Day 1 of Men’s Olympic Basketball has begun. The Czech Republic has taken down the Islamic Republic of Iran 84-78 in the first game. Team USA is gearing up for their first game, which is set to begin in less than a few hours. They face off Rudy Gobert and the French team for their first game in Tokyo 2020.

Before making their way over to Tokyo, Team USA hosted a camp in Las Vegas. The team did not perform as expected there. They split their four practice games and suffered two losses. Those losses had people doubting the current squad for Tokyo and wondered if LeBron James should have not withdrawn his name. However, in the final two practice games, Kevin Durant and the team found their groove and registered comfortable wins.

Skip Bayless backs Kevin Durant for Gold, compares him to Michael Jordan

The Team USA has not gone easy into Tokyo. Within a day of getting there, Kevin Durant started ‘beef’ with his teammate Bam Adebayo. Later, Durant was trolled by the entire Team USA contingent for the Olympics, led by Draymond Green.

Skip Bayless, as usual, took this as a chance to compare his favorite player to his GOAT. He did so while mocking his favorite target. Skip backed Durant, compared him to Michael Jordan(for starting beef like MJ did), and then basically called LeBron James irrelevant.

It remains to be seen if Kevin Durant can lead the Team USA as its best option against the rest of the world. There are high hopes from Team USA, but the competition is not easy as well.
