Kevin Durant hits back at all his haters while doing a pseudo fan meet and greet ahead of the Tokyo Olympics

Say what you want to, but Kevin Durant is by far one of the most honest athletes in the NBA right now.
The player is one of those people that doesn’t seem to have that much of a filter but doesn’t really regret it either. In a way, because of that, his friendship with Kyrie Irving has been a rather fitting one.
The downside to it all though is that his frank words are often construed and twisted into something else entirely. And while he isn’t exactly a saint, the villain persona that was created for him is just a bit too much in our opinion. Something the Slim Reaper seems to agree with.
Recently, the star was on Instagram Live and took a few pictures and a sweet little conversation with a fan ahead of the Olympics. And right after it, the Nets star throughout some serious shots at his haters.

“I’m a nice person”: Kevin Durant doesn’t understand why he is vilified by NBA media
Everybody on Team USA was in good spirits heading into the tournament. Kevin Durant even had an Instagram live video session during this time, with Zach LaVine playing sidekick. And from that session we as NBA fans had the honor of receiving this golden moment. Take a look at the tweet below.

We won’t lie, the “You don’t want a picture with Zach LaVine ?!” had us bawling.
That aside though, the Slim Reaper really was incredibly sweet throughout the whole encounter. He even seemed genuinely interested in the ‘Australian team’ conversation with the woman in the video.
He really is just a nice guy on a very good team. So, perhaps it’s time that we as NBA fans start treating him that way.
