LeBron James is considered to be one of the greatest basketball players ever. The kid from Akron is among the most accomplished players and has an illustrious resume. For 18-years now, LBJ has been putting on a show every night he takes the floor. His unique gameplay, versatility and endurance are unparalleled, due to which is compared to Michael Jordan for the GOAT debate.
This past season was not at all how LBJ and his Los Angeles Lakers hoped to have ended. LAL went from being strong title-contenders, to barely making the playoffs. And for the first time in Bron’s incredible 18-year career, he was knocked out of the first-round playoffs, by none other than his “Banana Boat” buddy – Chris Paul and his Phoenix Suns team.

Back when LeBron James destroyed a reporter’s light during his pregame session before the game against the Memphis Grizzlies
With all the new acquisitions and signings and all the Lakers have done in the 2021 offseason, with his 3 seasons experience, King James is now the longest-tenured Lakers. And this particular anecdote is back from LeBron’s first year with the LA-based team.
Back during the 2018-2019 season, the Los Angeles Lakers were at FedExForum to face the Memphis Grizzlies as their third and final meeting of the season. LeBron James is one of the players who try to have fun during his pregame sessions. We have often seen Bron mess around with his teammates, do all kinds of various antics right before the game.
This one particular time, during the pregame session on 26th February 2019, the 6-foot-9 forward bounced the ball, hoping to land it into the basketball rack, onto the reporters’ sets breaking one of the two lights. As all the reporters were confused, Bron went on to bounce another ball, this time almost nearly toppling down the second light and continued his pregame shoot around as if nothing happened. Here is how it happened:

Not really sure why the Lakers superstar did that. But he did end up recording a bold 24-point, 12-rebounds and 11-assists triple-double in a close 110-105 loss against Mike Conley’s Memphis team.
In today’s day and age, players get fined for the pettiest incidents. However, for this James just walked away as if nothing happened. But hey, when you are The LeBron James you do have the leeway of getting away from a lot of things.
