"Jae Crowder, win one championship first then talk all you want": Lakers assistant coach and Suns star fire shots at each other on social media

LA Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy and Suns center Jae Crowder engaged in some trash talk on social media recently.

The Phoenix Suns surprised everyone when they defeated the 2020 NBA champions LA Lakers in the first round of the playoffs. One of the iconic moments during the series was Jae Crowder and LeBron James feuding.

The animosity between the two was visible during various instances of the series. However, the incident that went viral on social media was Crowder imitating LeBron James’ salsa moves, which the superstar shot for a Mountain Dew commercial.

This was not the only case where the two seemed to have issues. During Game Four, Crowder and James got into a tussle when the latter was trying to drive towards the basket when the Suns’ center caught him by the shoulders.

The animosity between the two wasn’t new, as the two were seen feuding during the 2020 Finals in the Orlando Bubble as well. Crowder played for the Heat during the time.

Recently, Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy and Jae Crowder were seen throwing shots at each other on social media.

The LA Lakers warn Jae Crowder over him mocking LeBron James

In a recent, NBA analyst Cuffs the Legend shared a cryptic post on Instagram about how Crowder could have avoided his salsa dance mocking LeBron James till the Suns actually won the chip.

To which, Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy responded, “Aint no fun when the rabbit got the gun”… we will remember that shit,” Handy commented”

Crowder wasted no time responding, “GLAD YALL WILL! ILL REMEMBER GAME 3 AND THE ANTICS AS WELL.”

Handy ended the conversation by taking a shot at the Suns’ center, who has never won an NBA championship and has lost in back-to-back Finals. The conversation thread even had a guest appearance from 3x NBA champion Draymond Green, who engaged in some banter as well.
