Houston Rockets legend and NBA analyst Charles Barkley has long been a critic of the Golden State Warriors. Speaking after the Dub Nation’s first-round win last season, Barkley had claimed that the Kings should have won the series. This was despite Stephen Curry’s 50-point performance in game 7 to help his side to the win. Now, 31 days later, Barkley appeared on the Bill Simmons podcast and picked the Kings over Stephen Curry’s team, once again.

Barkley had claimed that the Kings would not only defeat the Warriors, they would go all the way to the Conference Finals. While De’Aaron Fox and company were handed a huge lesson instead, Chuck was still of the opinion it was the Sacramento Kings that deserved to win the series.

Charles Barkley has consistently rooted for the Sacramento Kings

Chuck has recently shown continuous support for Fox and the company. In addition to that, he has also been a staunch criticizer of the Warriors’ style of play.

Barkley had back in 2016 that he wasn’t a fan of the way they played basketball, according to the Bleacher Report. Chuck had suggested that instead of playing on both ends of the court, the Warriors were instead interested in outscoring their opponents. The comments were obviously made in the era of Kevin Durant, in addition to the Splash Brothers.

However, his dislike for Curry’s team still appears to hold true. Speaking on the podcast, Barkley recently picked the Kings once again, over the Warriors:

“They are gonna be solid. Let’s not sleep on the Sacramento Kings. They might be the 3rd or the 4th best team in the Western Conference. Now, they got confidence. I am telling you, the West is going to be very interesting. I would take Sacramento over Golden State.”

Barkley picked the Warriors over the Kings and also claimed that they had enough to finish in the final 4. Chuck believes that last season’s experience will go a long way in helping the team go further in the upcoming year.

Warriors’ fans reciprocate feelings towards Chuck Barkley

Barkley has undoubtedly not been the greatest fan of Stephen Curry and company. In addition to that, he recently refused to select Curry in his list of top-10 players of all time.

While it appears that Barkley’s feelings are related to the Warriors and Curry’s lack of humungous effort on defense, the Dub Nation hasn’t been known to sit back ideally. Last season, during a game between the Warriors and the Mavericks, one fan held out a banner that said, “Chuck, You Suck.”

Barkley, as he often does, did have a response for the fan. He claimed that he would go to his home and “f**k his mother” if he didn’t leave him alone. Like a gentleman, as always.
