"Y'all are weirdly obsessed with me": Kevin Durant replies to haters with perfect comeback after posting 'Can't take a Joke' by Drake

Kevin Durant has already told us that he’s at his peak when he’s on Twitter. His latest tweet is absolutely in line with this claim.

It isn’t uncommon for sports stars to engage with their fans on social media. Many of us were on Instagram Live when Giannis went to Chick-Fil-A yesterday and ordered 50 pieces of chicken. That’s just how it goes in the current world where the best sportspersons are more accessible to us.

However, the masses have taken extraordinary measures to hate on Kevin Durant all this while. The fact that he still gets so many ‘Cupcake’ and ‘Snake’ tweets – 5 years after his most controversial decision ever – should tell you all about how people on Twitter really are.

One struggles to think of any superstar who’s faced such consistent heat from fans of the sport he plays. Perhaps Cristiano Ronaldo and LeBron James are the only 2 athletes who can truly relate to what’s going through KD’s mind.

However, as far as we can tell, Durant really isn’t all that bothered by what fans say about him anymore. As he proclaims on his Twitter bio, Kevin Durant is probably chilling and laughing 99% of the time that he gets on social media. It’s just the fans who can’t handle his persona.

“Y’all are weirdly obsessed with me”: Kevin Durant replies to haters

The weird nature of interactions between KD and basketball fans was brought to the fore once again today. The Nets superstar has been a little more active on his page today than usual.

He posted a clip of Bam Adebayo stealing the ball he was shooting corner 3-pointers with. His exchange with Bam aside, he then posted a picture of a Drake song on Apple Music to talk about the public’s reaction to his post.

This innocuous joke post aimed at no one, in particular, seemed to rile a faction of NBA fans all the more. The replies got to a point where KD chipped in with a proper comeback.
