‘Y’all talk about the Greek Freak?’: Lakers’ JaVale McGee subtly mocks Giannis Antetokounmpo after Kostas wins title
JaVale McGee trolled Giannis for not getting a ring before his brother Kostas in their post-game celebrations today. Kostas has been a Lakers reserve for this season.
While Kostas Antetokounmpo’s playing time has been reserved solely for garbage time, he’s nevertheless a member of the world champion Lakers. Selected in 2018 by the Sixers and traded away, Kostas has been a bit-part player in the NBA.
He’s actually on a two-way contract with the Lakers as of today. He was taken by the Mavericks from the Sixers as they expected his presence to be an incentive for Giannis to sign with them.
JaVale McGee’s hilarious declaration about Kostas in championship celebrations
McGee, celebrating his 3rd championship this year, has been a model glue guy over his last couple of NBA stints. The 7 foot center was a tad more responsible for the Lakers’ championship run than Kostas, but he’s definitely the life and soul of their roster.
Along with JR Smith, the big man is one of the best hype men in the game. The way he felicitates Kostas today is hilarious.

Kostas taking the court is essentially a victory cigar at this point. Despite having some okayish skills as a role man, the 23-year-old is quite clearly a fringe NBA player at best.
While the Lakers may have signed him with one eye on his brother, he cannot permanently be on a two-way contract.
They will probably axe him from the roster next season if they find some other prospect who could offer a better return for his minutes on an NBA level.
