“Year 19 right around the corner!”: LeBron James hypes up his 4th Lakers season alongside Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony as he approaches his 37th birthday
4x NBA champion LeBron James shares his excitement on Instagram as he enters his 19th year in the league.
It won’t be wrong to say that the 36-year old King James is still the face of the NBA. One of the most influential players in the history of the league. James has been a force of nature ever since he stepped on the NBA hardwood.
However, the 17x All-Star has always had haters and critics waiting to pull the superstar down. As he enters his 19th season in the league, many believe father time is right around the corner for the 4x Finals MVP.
The 2020-21 season was a disappointing year for the Lakers superstar as he missed a large chunk of games due to an injury and had his career first-round elimination this postseason. That had led to many doubting if his reign is over.
Nonetheless, the Lakers GM Rob Pelinka has made some powerful moves during the current off-season. The Lakers acquired former league MVP, Russell Westbrook, scoring champion Carmelo Anthony, and 3x DPOY Dwight Howard.
As James begins his preparation for the upcoming 2020-21 season, he couldn’t help but share his excitement on Instagram.

Like every year, critics and trade pundits have cast their doubts over James’ future as he turns 37 this December. However, this does not stop the King from responding to his haters with his impressive performances on the court.
Lately, the Lakers roster has been on the receiving end for a lot of criticism for acquiring veterans. With many even trolling the team for having washed out superstars. Despite this negativity, the Lakers crew is very optimistic regarding their upcoming season.
“I think anytime you have three great players like this there is an element of sacrifice required and we’ve all talked about that and are all-in on that,” said head coach Frank Vogel.”
He added, “These three guys can do it all, and what I love about our group. Bron, AD, and Russ is they’re all make-the-right-play players, you know what I mean. It’s not just about scoring or being a one-dimensional player. They can all do it all, so I’m most excited about seeing what the three of them on the court at the same time looks like.”
