NBA Fans react to Kevin Durant getting a monumental triple-double and leading the Nets up 3-2 today.

I’ve been trying hard to find superlatives to describe how Kevin Durant cemented his legacy as the 2nd greatest player of his generation with his performance today, but thankfully, NBA Twitter has given me some nice nuggets to use.
The Brooklyn Nets were down, and down bad heading into this game. There was no timeline for when or if James Harden and Kyrie Irving would play again in this series. KD had just come off 2 bad shooting nights in Milwaukee himself.
We just witnessed the greatest playoff game of Kevin Durant’s career.
49 PTS
17 REB
10 AST
3 STL
2 BLK
16-23 FG
4-9 3P
13-16 FT— Played all 48 minutes
— 0 seconds of rest
— No Kyrie
— Hobbled Harden
— Scored/assisted last 43/52 Nets pts

On a night when detractors were waiting for him to fall down, KD answered with the best game of his career. He put the Milwaukee Bucks to sword with an outburst that powered the Brooklyn Nets with nearly 100 points in the last 3 quarters.
It truly was a performance for the ages, and Kevin Durant slander is out of NBA Twitter today. In fact, we’re seeing a ton of bandwagoners join on with Brooklyn at the time of writing.

if we’re being honest, Kd has been better than Lebron since he won in 2017🤷♂️

LeBron James has had a vice-like grip on this title for a decade or more now, but it’s time for him to pass the mantle on.
