Shaquille O’Neal may like to play around in front of the camera but at times we really get to see how clever and shrewd he really is. The Big Aristotle loves a good deal and also has an eye out for one all the time. Shaq once worked with a West Coast Chopper to make him a 14-foot-black chrome chopper. The custom bike maker later called him out for lying about the original price of the bike, which was way lower than what Shaq had claimed. However, the big man had the best comeback anyone could ever imagine.

Standing over 7ft tall and weighing 325lbs, Shaq needs almost everything customized. That’s what happened with the Dodge Charger that the Big Diesel received from Forbes Performance recently. Customized by Eric Forbes, the Hellcat Widebody flaunts a 6.2L V-8 Engine, 717 at 6,100 rpm Horsepower and 650 at 4,800 rpm Torque.
Shaquille O’Neal explains why he lied about the original cost of his custom bike
After Shaq had placed the demand for a customized bike, the company took over a year to finish the chopper. The bike was sold to Shaq at $55,000, as claimed by Jesse, the person who facilitated the transaction. However, Jesse found out that Shaq had lied about the price of the bike at Century Club in Los Angeles and called him out on camera. Apparently, the Big Diesel had told everyone in the club that he got it made for $155,000, a $100,000 more than the original price. Shaq explained the reasoning for lying about the price in this viral post:
“Well Jesse, the answer is, I wanted to make you look good. I only paid 50 [50,000] but if I tell them I paid a 100 [100,000], when they come, ask for the same bike, you tell them a 100. Your profit is a 100[$100,000]. I was looking out for you, not for me.”

It made perfect sense, particularly because Shaq himself has a brand value and his flaunting the bike at $155,000 is basically a free advertisement of the luxury bikes. The four-time NBA champion shared the video of his interaction with Jesse on his IG story. With such business acumen, Shaq has been able to amass a fortune of over $400 million
Shaq gets a custom-made 7ft chopper from West Coast Choppers
With the massive giant-like body that Shaq has, a normal-sized bike would barely make the cut for him. So, the 7ft former Laker player got himself a customized 14ft long chopper. The outlandishly long vehicle is a thing of beauty and is easy on his hips. The bike is the biggest ever made by the West Coast Choppers and even makes Shaq look small.
