NEP vs QAT Dream11 Team: Firm favourites to top the league standings and emerge winners from the tournament, Nepal begin their tournament today
Out of all the five teams participating in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, if there is one which stands tall among tall and is set to write its name in the annuls of the upcoming ICC 2019 T20 World Cup Qualifiers, its Nepal. The side are by far the strongest team out of Singapore, Qatar, Kuwait and Malaysia and have justified the high expectations accorded from them with some stellar displays in recent times.
They defeated Malaysia in a two match T20 series recently, winning both the encounters T20 proceeding a triumph for their U19 side in the Asian Qualifiers. And as the side prepare to get their World Twenty20 Qualifier campaign underway today with one eye on the sole spot this regional qualifier offers for the top ranked into the next side, expect them to emanate the same level of showings.
Elsewhere for their opponents on the day Qatar, their chances of making it to the ICC 2019 T20 Wold Cup Qualifier could come to an end today itself. The side were defeated by hosts Singapore who were playing their first ever full T20 international, put down the home side by 33 runs.
Batting first on a pristine batting surface prevalent at the Indian Association Ground, Singapore by galvanised by an extremely emphatic batting display, one that saw them rake up a colossal score of 186-7 while batting first. In reply, Qatar could only manage to get to 153-9 with none of their batsmen ready to take the onus on themselves and deliver an incisive performance to see past the target at hand.
Now up against Nepal today, Qatar’s predicament doesn’t look to improve. The track at this stadium is a glorious one for batting, one where the runs will pour down and given Nepal’s extremely strong batting line-up, expect them to canter to an extremely hefty total. This match has all the ingredients of being a trashing of Qatar and we fully envision Nepal doling out one.
Expect this match to be as one-sided as they get. Qatar somehow managed to scramble together 153 against Singapore but against a Nepal bowling line-up one which is filled with exceptional spinners, we don’t see them putting on the same score in this one. Coupled with the identity of Nepal’s batting line-up, they should stamp their authority on the tournament and shine their credentials for topping the league stages on 28 July.
Wicket-Keepers for NEP vs QAT Dream11
We have gone in with two wicket-keepers over here with the one from either side finding a place in our playing 11. Mohammed Rizlan comes in form Qatar after managing to be among the runs on Monday while we have gone ahead with Binod Bhandari as our pick from Nepal.
Batsmen for NEP vs QAT Dream11
One of the four batsmen to have managed to score in excess of 20 for Qatar against Singapore, Faisal Javid Khan has been picked up by us from Qatar. Elsewhere we have opted for a two man partnership from Nepal in the form of Sharad Vesawkar and captain Paras Khadka given that the average score on this surface is 172 and that both the matches yesterday saw the better batting sides register momentous scores.
Nepal’s ascendancy has to be credited to these two players, names who know fully well what it takes to succeed at the highest level. They’ll be among the runs today as well and we are going to capitalise on it by getting them both in.
All-Rounders for NEP vs QAT Dream11
With 220 runs in 8 matches and 11 wickets in 9 in matches, there is only one name who looked ideal enough from Qatar when we reached this segment of our side. Tamoor Sajjad comes into our side from Qatar while its yet again another duo that we have imbedded into our side from Nepal.
In Pawan Sarraf, Nepal have one of the best all-rounders out of all the 5 partaking sides, a names who has encapsulated both departments of the game to perfection. A mainstay in both the batting and bowling side for Nepal, the player has galvanised is side and is bound to emerge as one of the most instrumental performers from this tournament for them. KC Karan will partner him for this encounter.
Bowling Order for NEP vs QAT Dream11
Legspinner Sandeep Lamichhane is picked up by us with pacer Sandeep Kami. Sandeep has been a consistent performer for his side over the course of the last few series, always proving early inroads for the side with his brand of restrictive wicket to wicket bowling. Qatar had bound to crumble in this match and this duo should snare a good amount of wickets in between them.
With figures of 4-33 we have gone ahead with Iqbal Hussain from the side to complete our Dream 11 side.
Captain And Vice-Captain
Pawan Sharaf has been gone ahead as the captain for our side while Paras is our vice-captain.
