Denis Suarez to Arsenal

Arsenal are said to land Denis Suarez from Barcelona in the forthcoming days.

Arsenal are in sky-high following their win over their arch-rivals Chelsea on Saturday. The Gunners are currently three points off the Blues who are also eyeing to strengthen their roster in the January transfer window.

The London outfit have been linked with plenty of players this window for an excessive amount. But, those reports were rubbished by Unai Emery who confirmed that the club does not have the financial power to look in the transfer market for players available for permanent deal deals, but loan deals.

There were plenty of rumours going on since the start of the winter transfer window with the likes of Denis Suarez, Yannick Carrasco, Gary Cahill, and Ever Banega. There were contradicting reports earlier this month about the permanent deal for Denis Suarez, but it looks likely to see him in red until the end of the season.

Fans were particularly outraged about the prospect of landing none in the winter transfer window, but Nicolo Schira, reporter of La Gazzetta Dello Sport tweeted that the Spaniard is close to getting himself transferred to London in the forthcoming days as he looks to get reunited with his former boss.

On the other side, Barcelona were waiting to conclude a deal for the former AC Milan Skipper Kevin Prince Boateng who looks certain to move to Catalonia this week. As soon as the deal is concluded, the Spaniard is expected to arrive at London to complete his move at Arsenal.

Denis Suarez who moved to Sevilla on-loan during the 2014/15 season was able to work with Unai Emery. Since the Gunners manager already knows the player, Emery hopes that it does not take too long for the midfielder to settle in.

The Manchester City graduate is versatile and has the capability to play through the midfield, attacking midfield, and can operate through the left flank as well. With injuries getting relieved at the Emirates, Emery will be hoping to see Suarez more often in the team sheet.

Mesut Ozil was utilized through the right wing, but he has struggled to nail his spot under Unai Emery. With Henrikh Mkhitaryan back from injury, it gives plenty of attacking options for the Spaniard who does not want to miss out on a top-four spot.

Given that Arsenal manager likes to go with the 4-2-3-1 formation, it will be interesting to see where he would accompany Denis Suarez.
