This is obviously beyond a doubt that Patrick Mahomes will remain the face of the docuseries. This is not only because of the wide fan-following and the current career status of Mahomes but also because Tom Brady is retraining. The successful QB as believed by the production will bring wider viewership due to the curiosity around his personal life. In an interview with New York Post, Peyton Manning discussed the whereabouts of how the casting came through, especially taking Mahomes on board.
Patrick Mahomes Careful Approach and Reasons for Quarterback Docuseries
The interview was about how Patrick Mahomes came around to being a part of the Quarterback docuseries. Peyton told that Patrick had his reasons to do the series, primarily his family. He revealed, “I could tell that Patrick [Mahomes] wanted to do it, so his kids would know what he used to do and what his life is like because they’re so young now.” Peyton once passed on the same opportunity in the past and mentioned that he regretted it to the day. However, having seen Mahomes’ excitement, Manning was thrilled he [Mahomes] wanted to be a part of.
Manning mentioned that Mahomes has immense respect for the organization which became evident in coming onboard. He spoke to Peyton Manning saying, “No Peyton, you tell Coach Reid.” Manning mentioned that it was very telling, especially being at the point in his career as him.

Patrick Mahomes is a man of character, and Peyton agrees as he speaks about Mahomes’ respecting the Kansas City Chiefs coach. Manning in his interview, acknowledges this by saying, “Here you’ve got the best player in the NFL right now, that could probably say this is what I’m doing; I don’t care whether you like it or not. Instead, he wants me to ask his head coach for permission.”
Details of the Docuseries and Peyt0n’s Associated Thoughts
The docuseries is a hit, this is as sure as it can be. It sounds intriguing, to watch the favorite NFL Stars outside the field, in real life. However, the series had its own set of rules and processes that shaped it. Peyton showed respect for inputs during the filming revealing, ” There’s a trust factor.” He further explained,
“I promised all these guys that anything they didn’t want in it wasn’t gonna be in it.” The balancing approach of giving away the best and the worst moments, while still respecting privacy is respectable.”
During the Pat McAfee Show, Peyton had spoken about the opportunity of starring in a similar-fashioned series. However, he was in rehab at the time and had to pass on it. “I passed on it,” he told Pat McAfee adding, he didn’t know how it would play out. Also, he believed that he wasn’t in that kind of state of mind then.
There obviously remains a lot to discuss before you watch the docuseries. However, the point that is most enticing is that the series has been carefully curated to show three major QBs. Not only this, it catches them at different points in their careers. Praising the form, even Pat McAfee wrote on Twitter, “When you sign up to play QB you sign up for all of it. These three guys in this series are at three different times in their careers and the diversity of it is pretty cool.” Having said that, the hopes are extremely high, as the series unfolds.
