Lamar Jackson Prioritised a $900,000 Purchase To FullFil a Family Dream From His Rookie Money
Lamar Jackson perfectly knows how to take care of his family. Although currently, he is one of the highest-paid players in the NFL, he has played it smart financially even with his rookie money. Where rookies often tend to go overboard with their first NFL contract, Lamar had his priorities straight, with his eyes set on a $900,000 purchase.
Roped in by the Ravens in the first round of the 2018 draft, Lamar had to go through a lot before eventually getting his due. The star QB’s father and his grandmother, tragically passed away on the same day in 2005 when Lamar was only 8 years old.
Raised by a strong mother, Jackson vowed to buy a lavish house for her and all thanks to his supreme talent and incredible work ethic, the superstar was able to fulfill his dream at just 21 years of age.
Rookie Lamar Jackson Bought a Lavish Home in Baltimore for His Family
While several rookies opt to go crazy with their paychecks, when Jackson was asked to talk about the perks of being a pro player during an interview for Baltimore Ravens’ YouTube channel, he famously claimed, “You get to buy your parents a home.” Staying true to his words, Jackson, per NYPost, had paid $900,000 in cash back in 2018 for an 8-bedroom mansion in Owings Mills in Baltimore, where he now lives with mom Felicia, and brother Jamar.
Spread across 3.3 acres, the lavish property has over 5 bathrooms, wooden floors, curved ceilings, a gym, a recreation room, a hot tub, a private pool, a spa, an office, and a massive garage. Moreover, the mansion is very close to the Ravens’ facility which also makes life easier for Jackson.
With his new deal, Jackson can now make up to $52 million a year. He is now the highest-earning NFL athlete in the history of the competition (on an annual basis). Not to mention how big of a role his mother Felicia played in him securing the deal of his lifetime.
Lamar Jackson opened his presser by inviting media members to John Harbaugh’s house.
I opened the questioning by asking about what changed from his trade request to signing his new deal.

However, Jackson’s new contract has got many fans opining that he might soon shift base to a bigger, better bungalow. However, looking at the kind of person that Lamar is, it is unlikely he will invest heavily in another mansion, especially when he is set to play for Baltimore in the coming years.
