There is no doubt about the fact that Aaron Rodgers is one of the finest quarterbacks in the business. After all, winning back to back MVP honors isn’t the easiest of the tasks to accomplish.

However, from time to time, Aaron finds himself in the news for making statements about topics which are way beyond his expertise. May it be the 9/11 conspiracy theories, or his expert analysis on Covid vaccines, Aaron often ends up getting savagely trolled on Twitter.
Still, everything gets swept under the rug as soon as Aaron starts performing on the field. However, during the 2022 season, this wasn’t the case as Aaron failed to lead his unit effectively. In fact, there was a time in the season when the fans, as well as the experts wanted the Packers to bench the reigning MVP for young Jordan Love.
Despite all this, the Green Bay-based franchise decided to stick with Aaron and he didn’t disappoint. In the latter phase of the season, Aaron was able to find some form which eventually allowed the Packers to stay alive in the playoff race.

Ian Rapoport highlights the issues with Aaron Rodgers trade
In the end, the Packers couldn’t cross the final hurdle as they were defeated in their regular season finale by the spirited Lions. As soon as that game ended, speculations around Aaron’s future in the competition starting resurfacing.
While a few fans opined that Aaron might end up announcing his retirement from the league, many also suggested that he might get traded to some other franchise. Most recently, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport also told Pat McAfee that the Packers will probably not shy away from giving up Aaron if they get a nice package.

Pat told Ian that Adam Schefter had recently claimed that Aaron Rodgers’ trade seems like a real possibility. To this, Ian replied by saying, “a trade is possible. I think Green Bay likes what they have in Jordan Love so if the Packers got the right package, I think they could do a deal for Aaron Rodgers.”
However, Ian also added that if any team goes all out to get Aaron, they would not only have to pay $60 million, but would probably be forced to give away a first round pick as well. These conditions sure makes the Aaron Rodgers trade seem a little less probable but in the NFL, we just never know.
