Cody Mauch, the 24-year-old offensive tackle from North Dakota State Bison college, has been roped in by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the 48th overall pick during the second round of the ongoing NFL draft. The 3x FCS champion is expected to add greatly to the Bucs’ unit.

Cody Mauch reveals why he likes his “no teeth” look
In a recent video uploaded by NFL on ESPN’s Twitter account, Cody was seen narrating his life story. Mauch stated that he grew up on a farm and started working at an early age. He then went on to explain why he is missing two of his front teeth.
“I got my teeth knocked out in a seventh grade conference championship basketball game. I was diving for a loose ball and I ran into one of my buddy’s heads. Had to go to the doctor and have them(teeth) pulled out,” he claimed. Cody went on to add that years ago, he decided not to wear his retainer and embraced his “no two front teeth” look.

The star athlete went on to claim that he wanted to save some bucks on haircut. Which is why he opted to have long hair. In the end, the missing teeth and long hair contributed to the creation of a one-of-a-kind look for the gentle giant. It will be interesting to see how he performs for the Bucs in the coming season.
