Zach Wilson became the QB of the future after the Jets drafted the former BYU QB with the 2nd overall pick. But draft night also saw a lot of attention drawn towards Zach Wilson’s mom, Lisa. And it hasn’t sat well with the Jets QB.

The Jets QB was asked about the attention that his mom received in a radio interview by WFAN Radio Host Craig Carton a few days after the draft. “Yeah, it’s not my favorite for sure,” Zach Wilson said on the attention his mom was receiving. “I like to keep her out of the spotlight. She’s an awesome lady and I love having her support.”
Lisa Wilson detailed her discussion with Zach over the issue.
On Thursday, she posted a lengthy video detailing her discussion with her son.
“People out there think that I embarrass my son,” Wilson said. “Has he asked me to take down my social media? He has before and he says ‘Mom, if it’s about money, I’ll give you money.’ I tell him ‘Zach, I don’t need your money.’ He says, ‘Mom, you don’t embarrass me but I can’t stand people treating my mom like crap.’”
“If you saw the messages I receive every single day from women that started exercising again, women that are starting to cook for the first time ever, women who are changing their relationships with their husbands, women who tell me the only reason they’re getting out of bed is my Instagram. The only thing that kept them from taking a handful of pills is because something I said resonated with them. I refuse to abandon those people. I can take the heat. Bring it on.”
#Jets QB Zach Wilson asked his mom to shut down her Instagram page – he said he’s willing to pay her.

It looks like Lisa won’t be stopping her social media presence. And with training camp around the corner, Zach will be preoccupied with training for his rookie season.
