Inviting Manning was the right thing to do as the 2x Super Bowl champion has the experience of winning a charity Golf event in the past. Paired alongside the GOAT Tiger Woods, Manning and his champion partner had defeated Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson at 2020’s ‘The Match’ without much trouble. As it turns out, even Steph is no rookie when it comes to hitting those long range shots.
Stephen Curry & Peyton Manning showcased their Golfing skills at Memorial Tournament Hole-in-One Challenge
Known for his astounding ability to score three pointers from absolutely anywhere on the basketball court, Curry had gone viral in July last year after nailing a 97-yard shot at the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe. Expecting similar heroics from the NBA superstar, innumerable fans recently tuned in to watch the Memorial Tournament Hole-in-One Challenge.
Not only Steph, NFL superstar Peyton Manning, Rory Mcllroy, Matt Fitzpatrick and several other celebs decided to take a swing in order to raise money for charity. In a recent video uploaded by Golfdigest on Instagram, all the aforementioned stars were seen toppling milkshake-filled glasses from quite a distance with their shots.

All the workday ambassadors got really competitive while trying their best to get the perfect swing. In the end, in order to raise a whopping $250,000 for charity, the stars were also asked to swing for a hole-in-one from 165 yards and it would be fair to say that for the sheer intensity with which he attempted the shot, Steph deserves a lot of praise.
Peyton Manning and Stephen Curry are ‘Bourbon’ rivals
As mentioned earlier, both, Curry and Manning have a lot in common. Apart from the fact that they both love Golf, their shared affection for liquor is also well-known. As it turns out, Manning even launched his own Bourbon, the Sweetens Cove Tennessee, a couple of years back, in order to carve out a niche for himself in the lucrative market.
Following Manning, Curry also entered the same arena recently. A few days ago, the champion athlete launched his Bourbon whisky named – Gentleman’s Cut. Moreover, to ensure that every thing about the launch was near perfect, Steph got closely involved in a variety of departments, right from manufacturing to marketing and promotion.
As Manning and Curry are now direct competitors in the liquor market, it will be interesting to see how things pan out for the ‘Bourbon Rivals’ in the time to come.
