Juantarius Bryant

Juantarius Bryant was heartbroken when a call to tryout for the Falcons turned out to be fake. However, Bryant is getting an event with HUB football.

The Austin Peay defensive back thought he was on his way to tryout for the Falcons during rookie minicamp. However, when he reached the facility, he was immediately turned away. There was no tryout. Bryant was tricked.

However, it looks like everything isn’t going to be over so catastrophically yet for the young defensive back. Bryant is scheduled to attend an event by HUB Football who invited Bryant after his ordeal.

Juantarius Bryant Heartbroken By Fake Tryout Gag

Supposedly, someone pretending to be Falcons defensive coordinator Dean Pees was texting Bryant, telling him about the details of this special tryout. When everything unraveled, Bryant was shook. He was torn and heartbroken.

“I do not know or understand why this has happened. But I do know that everything happens for a reason. Yes, this was heart breaking for me, but just another stepping stone that I am not afraid to admit or overcome.”

The event obviously left a deep impact on Bryant, but it also looks like he’s taking it more as positive. He feels that situations like this only serve to toughen him up and make him stronger in the long run.

“At the end of the day, this will not make or break me. I will still continue to fight for my dreams because I know it’s what I really want.”

Bryant is getting an opportunity to reach the NFL, however. The HUB Football event on Sunday May 23rd, hosted by Don Yee, could be a great place for Bryant to show off his skillset. Several NFL teams will be sending representatives to the event including the Atlanta Falcons.

What Is HUB Football?

HUB Football was an innovative project taken up by Don Yee to help NFL and College athletes find employment in the league. Yee is a sports agent who represents many NFL players across the league. Notably, he represents Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

Yee mostly created HUB Football to help players find a second chance in the NFL and get back to achieving their dreams and reaching their goals. It’s no easy path to the league, and even those who do make it sometimes fall off. Yee wants to help those athletes. Yee told Sports Illustrated’s NFL Draft Bible.

“I started HUB because the pathway to the NFL needed innovation and choice. The current pathway also is highly inefficient, and it’s also focused on everyone but the player. With HUB, we’re building a pathway that specifically addresses player and NFL club issues. That’s never been done before, especially by an independent group like HUB”

HUB’s prime organization is The CAMP which is watched attentively by NFL scouts and teams. Yee again just wanted to make life easier for everyone.

“HUB’s CAMP product is important for unemployed players because up until now, the only option for players and their agents was to simply sit by the phone and hope – which isn’t a winning strategy. Now, players and agents can actually do something pro-active to find employment – just attend our event. Our process also helps NFL teams reduce their scouting costs – they can see far more players through HUB for a fraction of the costs they’d normally expend.”

Hopefully, Bryant can take something away from this event, and build on his goals of reaching the NFL. What happened to him truly is disheartening to hear about, but as Yee wished it to be, he can recover.
